Eight Island Children Come Home!

The brainchild of the women of Current Island, The Bahamas, the Zion Children’s Home is a 16-bed residential facility for island children who have been abused and neglected. The home has two cottages that will house eight children each, along with house parents. In mid-March of 2014, one of the two cottages officially opened and welcomed eight children. Over the last four years, Bahamas Habitat and other organizations and volunteers have raised money and built and supplied the home. To date, Bahamas Habitat has donated over $100,000 to this project.

Will You Join Us in Our Labor of Love?

We have room for eight more children in the Home. Sponsoring a child is the perfect project for a church, school, scout troop, or soccer league. If just 100 people or organizations give $160, a child will have a safe home with good food, an education, and plenty of love for a year. Thanks for giving this or any amount. Every donation helps us achieve our goal. To make a tax-deductible gift to fill the Zion Children’s Home with children, click the donate button at the right side of this page.
